This weekend emphasizes the connection to natural energy, ayurveda
and the energetic systems (endocrine and subtle body) that are experienced through the senses or physical body in and outside
of asana and allow the practitioner to gain awareness into mainpulating, maintaing and directing bio-physical energy (cultivated
natural energy/prana) throughout the organism resulting in being able to direct the mind, body, spirit triad for deeper Self
exploration or preparation for dharna and dhyana.
Path of Prana - Part I Prana itself
contains the Sanskrit root prā "to fill.“ Often translated to “vital force” and comparable to
the Chinese concept of Qi, Prana flows through the body in particular patterns or via tubes of energy that can be manipulated
by neuromuscular locks. This intensive will cover application of vital energy by use of breathing techniques (and terminology)
with and in-depth look at the subtle body (chakras, bandhas, nadis) and it’s relationship to the practitioner.
The Energy Within - Part
II Ayurveda contains the Sakskrit words āyus, meaning "longevity",
and veda, meaning "knowledge" or "science.” As we dive into Ayurveda and the Cosmos learning from the
Samkhya Philosophy and theory of existence thus pertaining to the qualities of all living things. This information is used
to prepare one for the day (daily living) and take them to a deeper understanding of practice (purpose for living). The philosophy
and practical techniques can be easily used by all to settle with ones true nature. Schedule... Saturday

FEBRUARY 24-26th Instinctual Meditation Training with Lorin Roche Ph.D.

Yoga teachers are the future of meditation in America, because they come in through breath and the body.
About as many people are interested in meditation as are into yoga. All human beings have the ability to meditate.
Meditation is a name we give to a universe of techniques for accessing our own innate ability to heal, rejuvenate, and be
in love with life. Meditation is intimacy with life. Practicing can feel as natural as breathing. The techniques are ways
of perceiving and delighting in the life essence at play in us as prana.
The Yoga tradition gives us a wealth of ways in–to become intimate with the
life force: pranayama (awareness of breath), mantra (listening to sound), mudra (prana-infused gesture), and yantra (visualizing).
You can enter meditation through any of the senses - hearing, touch, vision, taste, smell, and all the somatic senses: balance,
oxygen sensing, internal motion sensing, and others. When we find the internal styles and practices that
match our inner nature, our prakriti, then meditation feels natural and we relish our experience. Meditation becomes an internal
vacation and healing Temple that helps us balance our energies and prepare for loving action. Meditation is internal asana,
a flow between pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, and samadhi, over and over. We learn it by doing it, by flowing through the poses
in our subtle bodies. Pratyahara happens when we find something interesting to sense in the world within. Dharana is tenderly
holding that focus, dhyana is appreciating, and samadhi is when we join with or melt into our focus. These are instinctive
and natural motions in our inner world. In this training, you will get an opportunity to explore a variety
of different approaches and find what works for you, and also learn from other people what works for them. You will get to
practice creating meditations for yourself and for others, and guiding them. Friday, February 24th.....6-8:30pm Saturday & Sunday, February 25-26th.....12-6pm Investment.....$195.00 Space is limited,
please call to reserve your placement in the training

Dr. Roche has been exploring, researching and teaching meditation since 1968. After teaching with the Student’s
International Meditation Society from 1970 through 1975, he went into private practice and started developing an approach,
which he calls Instinctive Meditation, that works with the fine structure of individual uniqueness, rather than imposing a standardized,
one-size-fits-all approach. He draws on insights into how people learn gained from the best of Western science and Eastern
Yoga. This integrative approach results in straight forward ways for people to learn many different meditation techniques. Instinctive
Meditation tends to feel more like an innate skill that you are remembering than a technique that you are learning. Lorin's
work is aimed at activating an individual's internal guidance systems and bringing forth your instinctive knowing, so that
you can safely practice meditation without being dependent upon Gurus, systems or external authorities.
