Vinyasa Flow & the Art of Adaptation
Teacher Training
Program
JANUARY - JUNE 2012
"On a very deep level, yoga shows you the inherent
wisdom of your body as you move in, through, and out of each pose. And it allows you the quiet time and space to get reacquainted
with the intuitive side of your mind and the teachings of your heart so that you can SHARE those gifts with the rest of the
world."
Bindu Yoga Studio's comprehensive Teacher Training program offers the opportunity for students with a committed yoga
practice of at least one year or more to receive certification through Bindu's 200 hour Teacher Training program. The training
includes: In-depth practice, the art of teaching asanas, pranayama & meditation; how to see & understand bodies; how
to assist students & adjust postures; how to design, sequence & theme your own yoga classes; ethics for yoga teachers;
practical anatomy for yogis; History, Philosophy and more. Every weekend we focus on a particular component of teaching a
complete and well rounded yoga class. Throughout the course we will explore the principles behind yoga, including the benefits,
its relationship to the rest of our lives, manifesting and transmitting the techniques in an authentic way. During the program,
students immerse themselves in the study and practice of asana, pranayama, meditation and theory. An emphasis is placed on
the personal practice of the teacher as the foundation of the learning process. Active public class participation and observation
in between training sessions helps students apply concepts from each training session to their personal practice and teaching.
Primary faculty for the training will be Angel Lucia E-RYT 500, LMT along with several visiting master teachers
joining us along the journey. Upon successful completion, teachers will be qualified to register with the Yoga Alliance
at the 200-hour level.
